In another browser tab, go to the public Jitsi Meet instance at
Click Start Meeting with whatever phrase it suggests. Put a name and make sure your camera and microphone have the permissions they need.
The name you put here is what the other participant will be able to see, so just put your first name or username they know you as. Click Join meeting. You will get the next screen:
You will want to log in so that you are the moderator. Your login credentials are not shown to other participants, so you can use your Google login (or any other).
Then youll actually be in the meeting.
Click the person+ button at the bottom menu. Youll get this invitation popup.
Send that link to the other participant(s) in app or on the forum or whatever. They can open that link in pretty much any browser (including mobile versions), and connect up just like you did.
Once you are done with the conversation, disconnect.
Thats it. You dont to have to remember the room name, just use a randomly generated one each time. No application to install. And since its free, why not try it for yourself
